God's Blessings ~ Personal Note 2009
It has been over a year since my pilgrimage to Israel and still the memories of that trip are a blessing to the three of us who traveled together. After returning home I was able to settle into business mode and focus on what I had hoped and prayed would be a wonderful year. In conversation with my Pastor's wife, she boldly spoke that 2008 would be a "banner" year and she laughed.
Indeed it was a banner year for Colors of Praise. God connected us with a church in Michigan requesting three large sanctuary banners for their new church home along with tabrets and smaller T Pole banners to use in their worship services. It was a privilege to supply them with tools for worship and for consecration of their new temple.
A couple of months ago, my girlfriend who had been providing the dyed silks for use on selected tabrets told me she felt God was moving her in a different direction and would no longer be providing the silks I used. I was not sure where to look for someone new whom I could trust and who would have his or her own testimony. God directed me to Marji in record time; our very first conversation settled my heart, giving me God's peace. She now provides me with the silk colors needed for my tabrets; plus, I am able to offer new hand-dyed silk flags, 'Anointing' and 'Fire'.
In the past ten months, God sent us clients who were on active duty in Germany and Iraq. Recently a woman who just returned from Iraq e-mailed me to say the flags she purchased months earlier were left behind because she gave them to the girls in the ministry. Isn't it awesome our God is being lifted up in praise and glory from the sands of Iraq!
God connected me with a Parish in New York State. What started as a special banner for their priest turned into at least a dozen tabrets for their glory night worship. Those ladies had me pretty busy in the fall months. It is phenomenal to me that our God is a NON-denominational God. He does not limit our access to him based on what church we attend or beliefs we may have. We don't have to be part of a particular denomination to be God's church, His Bride or His Beloved. We are all those who love and worship the Lord.
It has been such a blessing for me to see God connect worshippers leading us in a common goal. I held a small workshop recently where those interested in flag ministry attended. We had a great time learning about colors, flags, and the use of and scriptural basis for them in worship. He asks us to Praise Him, Glorify Him, Adore Him and Love Him. To God is given all glory, all honor and all praise!
Deborah
